Different agency designs different styles of two-dimensional codes. Compared with standard one-dimensional barcodes, two-dimensional codes have some advantages including fast readability and greater storage capacity. Two-dimensional codes, such as Code49 and quick response (QR) code, are a significant and convenient tool for obtaining the corresponding information of goods. ![]() To improve the quality of the deblurring image, the fractional differential operator (FDO) as a regularisation term is added into the image deblurring system, as detailed in Section 3.3. When the edge of an image is sharpened, the noise of the image always is also increased. Since small kernel errors will result in significant artefacts of the latent image, deblurring results based on previous methods always appear as over-smoothed or cause a longer processing time. The computation of the PSF estimation by this method is more effective than that of the method using an iterative-based blind deconvolution algorithm. Subsequently, the latent image can be estimated using non-blind deconvolution. If the image blurring type is known, such as unfocused blur or linear motion blur, the PSF can be estimated directly by the frequency spectrum of a blurry image. Consequently, the blur kernel and latent image are estimated slowly based on these methods. In general, these existing methods estimate the blur kernel and latent image by alternating iterations. Developed blind deblurring methods, such as the total variation method, adaptive neural network, sparse prior, and heavy-tail prior, have been proposed for restoring the latent image and PSF. Early studies, such as the inverse filtering method, Wiener filter method, and Richardson–Lucy (R–L) method, assume that the PSF is known. ![]() To achieve better image deblurring quality, the existing methods involve some assumptions on the PSF, latent images or both. When the PSF is unknown, the image blind deblurring problem is highly difficult because many different images f and kernels k can yield the same result g. However, the PSF is typically unknown in the real world. Otherwise, the problem is the blind deblurred problem. When is known, the problem is the non-blind deblurred problem. Experimental results indicate that their framework performs favourably with processing motion blurry QR code images. Finally, their framework is validated in a practical platform of an actual conveyor belt system with a low-cost industrial camera. Comparisons with the existing algorithms demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve favourable deblurring quality and acceptable computational cost. Furthermore, an average grey-level method is presented to reconstruct the standard QR code images. Next, a new image deblurring method is proposed using fractional differential order and is used for improving the quality of the deblurring image. First, a black frame is added around the traditional QR code, which is used for locating QR code and reducing the computational cost. The authors perform a trade-off between algorithm computational cost and quality of the deblurring image. Therefore, this study proposes a new framework of motion blurry QR code image restoration in real-time based on the fractional-order deblurring method. Furthermore, a moving quick response (QR) code image is regarded as a type of classical blurry image and requires real-time processing in practical applications. Most image deblurring methods require large algorithm computational cost because multi-scale blind deconvolution is used for estimating kernel.
